Cathedral of the Assumption
Lower Pinnacles

Cathedral Links.gif (11065 bytes) The four lower pinnacles with crosses are actually the covering of stone pinnacles which have shown some degree of deterioration. Attachment devices fabricated of   ¼" x 2" stainless steel bar stock serve the purpose of both giving strength to the old stone and providing a method of attachment of the new copper octagon-shaped lower molding system, spire coverings, and octagon-shaped collars at the base of the crosses. The crosses were fabricated of copper and retain a natural finish. Large pinnacle.gif (32468 bytes)
