Cathedral of the Assumption Cladding |

The cladding of the octagon shaped main spire was accomplished by using full length horizontal locked seam pans (hip to hip). The vertical exposure is 12". The single lock seams are slightly less than ¾". The horizontal seams are cleated at 6" centers. This method of construction exactly replicated the old which had proven itself for many years both withstanding water penetration and wind velocity. the copper was installed over roofing felt and rosin paper applied to ¾" plywood. | ![]() |
